Heritage Baptist School of the Bible is a ministry of the Freedom Baptist Church located in Plant City, Florida. The vision of HBSB, under the leadership of Pastor Tony Tirse, seeks to equip the serious Bible student with the biblical resources needed to serve our Lord Jesus Christ in the gospel ministry. HBSB is founded on three truths:
1. Spiritual growth comes through the Word of God. (I Peter 2:2)
2. Jesus commanded believers to live “by every word” of God. (Matthew 4:4)
3. The Great Commission commands every church to teach every member “all things” Christ commanded.

The courses at HBSB are designed to equip a wide scope of disciples to better serve Christ in the local church. These disciples range from pastors, missionaries and church planters to Sunday school teachers, Junior church workers and soul winners. To this end, HBSB offers two different programs:
- Doctrinal Studies Certificate – 12 Courses, fulfilling 48 Credit Hours
- Bachelor of Biblical Studies (B.B.S.) – 32 Courses, fulfilling 128 Credit Hours

Pastor Tony Tirse

Principal Instructor
Pastor Tony Tirse was saved in July of 2000 in Tampa, Florida. He served as bus captain and youth leader at Trinity Baptist Church in Bradenton, FL and as Youth Pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Brooksville, FL. In 2014 he and his wife, Mia, left to the mission field of the Philippines where he planted the Midway Baptist Church in Babatngon, Leyte and started the Leyte Baptist Bible Institute. In June of 2020 he was called to be the pastor of the Freedom Baptist Church in Plant City, FL. In 2021 he established the Freedom Baptist Bible Institute, now the Heritage Baptist School of the Bible. Pastor Tirse has earned a Master of Biblical Studies degree from Gulf Coast Bible Institute and a Master of Theology degree from Southern Indiana Baptist College. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Theology degree. He has authored several books, pamphlets, and gospel tracts. He is active as a Pastor, Bible college teacher, in college campus outreach ministry, and itinerant preacher organizing Bible conferences and revivals.

Pastor Matthew Hines

Brother Matthew Hines is a native of Tampa, Florida. He was saved at the age of nine after riding the bus to church with his siblings. At the age of fifteen, the Lord called him to preach; he did not pursue that calling until he graduated high school. After the Lord brought about some drastic changes in his life, Matthew enrolled in seminary at Florida Baptist College, a ministry of West Gate Baptist Church. Here, Brother Hines would meet his wife, Tayler whom he married in 2016. For two years Bro. Hines served as a missionary in Boston, Massachusetts before returning home to Tampa. For the last seven years, he has had the privilege pastoring the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in the Egypt-Lake neighborhood of Tampa. Brother and Mrs Hines have three children and have been married for 10 years. He is the author of several books and pamphlets. He holds a BS in Biblical Studies from Florida Baptist College as well as a MBS in Biblical Studies from Baptist College of America Kokomo, IN. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree.
Dr. Bryan Gentry

Dr. Bryan Gentry has a B. A. in Pastoral Studies, an M. S. in Bible College Administration, and a Doctor of Ministries, all from Landmark Baptist College in Haines City, FL, where he served on staff as Dean of Students from 2004 -2009. Besides teaching Bible and History classes at the college, he has served as associate pastor, minister of music, church planter and pastor, and has started several outreach ministries to juvenile correctional facilities in central Florida. In 2009 he moved to Missouri and began working with a church in Kansas City, KS to plant a new church in the Kansas City, MO area, the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Parkville, MO. He pastored SRBC from 2009 - 2013. In February 2013 SRBC voted to call John Magas to be the new Pastor and Dr. Gentry returned to Florida. Through the authority of the Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, Fl, Pastor Gentry went to Bartow and planted the Bible Baptist Church. In 2023, BBC in Bartow voted to call another pastor as Dr. Gentry began a new phase of ministry. He has been focusing on the church's Jail Ministry, a college campus ministry, and teaching at Landmark Baptist College.
Bro. Rick Anderson

Bro. Rick Anderson is a music leader, preacher, and Sunday School teacher at Freedom Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Tony Tirse. Bro. Rick was saved as a teenager and lived and traveled in several states throughout the US. He became a member of Freedom Baptist Church in 2021 and has become a great helper to his pastor. He has taught through several long series of Bible topics including "The Preservation of the King James Bible" and "The Old Testament Feast Days." He is also the director of the college campus outreach ministry at Freedom Baptist Church.
